Delhi Metro crosses 2 million daily riders mark
Yay! Delhi Metro, the brand-new backbone of the chaotic public transportation system in my hometown, consistently crossed the 2 million daily-ridership mark, three times this month. Annual ridership is also increasing leaps and bounds. And the best thing is that development patterns - the choice of locating offices, homes, etc., is now increasingly factoring the presence, or imminence of the Metro.
The last mile, remains a problem. Rickshaws, powered by man or machine, have stepped into the void.
Here is a video, bandit recorded as they don’t allow photo/videography, to celebrated the milestone.
